Yesterday, the Red Vic on Haight (If you're in KW think "Princess", if you're in Winnipeg think "Cinematheque") was playing Manufacturing Consent, a documentary about Noam Chomsky. I went with Curt and Marion, and we stupidly didn't think that maybe a film like this playing in probably the most granola-crunching neighbourhood in the whole world would be busy. So we waited in the huge line and surprisingly got tickets, but I had to watch the movie sitting on the floor. It was pretty good, but really long. After that, we went to Grateful Dead night at some bar where everyone openly smokes pot and there's a guy selling pipes in the back. Don't worry though, today I'm back at my desk like the upstanding citizen that I am, still working for the man. :)
