Yesterday night I went back to the Adelaide to get my money refunded for the nights I paid for but didn't stay. Everything happened exactly as I imagined it:
Stefano: Here's your $34.
Me: Actually, you owe me three days at $17/night which is $51.
Stefano: You checked out without giving 24hrs notice, so you pay for the extra day.
Me: Uh, you *told* me to leave on Saturday night.
Stefano: No I didn't.
Me: Oh, so when you said "You're leaving in in the morning" what exactly did you mean?
Stefano: I wasn't present when that was said.
Me: That's such a lie! You said that right to my face!
Stefano: Ok. I'll refund it to your credit card.
...
Here's another gem:
Stefano: Don't piss me off. I made a call to immigration. (Before he was telling me how he knows people at INS and he's going to get Marion deported.)
Apparantly Curt got the boot too. I'll have to drop by Marion's place to see if he's staying there.
