Belgium has dropped the case against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon saying the case could not proceed against a person outside of the country.

Slate examines how the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) figures at WorldCom where falsified for five quarters. Apparently it was a fairly simple scheme that should have been caught by the auditors, Arthur Andersen of Enron fame.
