HHTTG : The Movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is to be turned into a Hollywood movie with the script writer from Chicken Run completing a script that its author Douglas Adams was working on before his death last year. Don’t Panic! 8:33:24 PM

MSNBC had an excerpt from "Star Trek: I’m Working on That: A Trek from Science Fiction to Science Fact" by William Shatner. In the excerpt Shatner talks about space travel and the possibility of faster than light travel. There are a number of fairly humorous passages about how Star Trek would work with real phyiscs. MSNBC’s Comic Log by Alan Boyle and The Daily Grail are among the science blogs are covering the results of the National Geographic Pyramid Special. They note that the second door may in fact the end of the shaft and not a door at all. I found it surprising that the camera sent through the hole seemed to be on a solid rod rather than using a flexible mechanism that would allow more of the area behind the first door to be seen. Also the program previews did not indicate they already drilled the hole in the door. 8:13:12 PM

Uzi Benziman of Ha’aretz says that Lebanon is playing with fire if it continues with its plan to divert water from a river than flows south to Israel and its Lake Kinneret. More importantly Minister Shimon Peres is saying the same thing. The actions of the Lebanese government seem to suggest it is try to divert attention from Iraq by provoking a confrontation with Israel.
