A Bell Labs researcher who was touted for a possible Nobel Prize for his results in the field of superconducting devices and organic electronics has been fired over charges he falsified his results. In 16 of 24 papers examined the scientist, Hendrik Schön was found to have used faked data. Bell Labs and its owner Lucent, now have a lot of backtracking to do such as this warning.
