The most important issue of the day, can Pete Rose get into the Hall of Fame.

Former baseball commissioner Fay Vincent explains why Pete Rose’s actions were so harmful: "We think he made money betting on baseball," Vincent says. "And people are stupid. They say, 'Why do you care if he bet on his own team?' Well, that is the point, you care because that night when he is betting he brings in his best relief pitcher. The next night when he isn't betting he can bring in anybody. The game is corrupted."

Finally

The Canadian government has finally taken the correct course and outlawed both the military and social wings of the Lebanese-based terror group Hezbollah. Some reasons include calls by its leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, urging Palestinians to expand their suicide bombings worldwide.

Ha’aretz reports that 42% of Likud voters are in favor of a unilateral separation from the Palestinians and an agreement over the status of Jerusalem.

Why do people keep-staying Canada has a peacekeeping tradition? I doubt the soldiers that seized Vimy Ridge, landed at Juno Beach, liberated Holland and helped defend South Korea would characterise their actions as peacekeeping.
