Annandale, Va.: Is there any data to show how much influence a paper's editorial page views have on circulation? Howard Kurtz: Probably zero. Except perhaps in the case of the Wall Street Journal, most people don't buy a newspaper for its editorial page. They might buy it for news, or features, or sports, or movie reviews or ads, but the edit page is not likely to be driving a lot of newsstand traffic.
