The biggest lie of the Iraqicide was WMD. Not the existance of biological and chemical weapons, but that biological and chemical weapons are weapons of mass destruction. It's true, you don't want to be killed by them, any more than you would want to be killed by a cluster bomb, but biological and chemical weapons are orders of magnitude less destructive than nuclear weapons.
We've said this before, of course.
The news for the day is Dumbya threatening Iran about nukes. Notice that he isn't threatening them about biological/chemical weapons. No one would go to war over mustard gas, anthrax, or even nerve agents.
(And don't forget that the oft-cited gassing of Kurds was actually done by the Iranian army -- apparently unaware that the Iraqi army had just retreated, leaving only the Kurds in the area.)
What counts is nukes. Yes, we should make sure Iran doesn't get nukes. The best way to do that is to make sure they don't *want* and *need* nukes -- that the country is safe from attack and blackmail. Bush, of course, has demonstrated that every nation needs nukes in order to prevent Bush from destroying the country. Bad idea.
We just want to point out that the lie about the quantity of biological and chemical weapons was a much smaller lie than the lie that biological and chemical weapons are 'weapons of mass destruction'.
