"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

Remember the Iraqi documents proving that a British member of parliament -- not a right-wing, war-mongering bastard -- was on Saddam's payroll? The documents were played up big-time in the right-wing British media. (Rove and Rumsfeld are reforming our allies' media, remember.) The documents were phony. Forgeries. Found in a building controlled by British forces that allowed the right-wing propaganda-liars into the building.

Now they've found or written a document that says the Iraqi secret police would try to thwart the occupation. The document reads like a list of what has happened since Mr. Bush's costume-drama "Mission Accomplished" carrier landing.

The question is, why would anyone believe that the document wasn't written in the last week? We know the occupation forces are forging documents. We know what their goals are. We know Rumsfeld, Inc. is out to spread propaganda lies through the media. The fact that a New York Times reporter has the story is no particular reason to believe it -- NYT's Judith Miller put her byline on outrageous propaganda.

In other news, a bag of castor beans was found in Iraq. Even though there are many uses for castor beans, we have to put up with articles citing them as so-called WMD. Give us a break.
