QUOTE OF THE DAY

"If you don't like the news, go out and make some of your own."
- - Scoop Nisker

RHINO HERE:
With the election just 2 days the other side of the weekend, there are things each of us can do to be sure the Republicans don't end up controlling the Senate and House. A suggestion, again coming from MoveOn PAC, is to call any friends and/or relatives we have in states where the Senate and House races are considered "HOT", meaning too close to call, and urge them not only to get out and vote, but to vote Democratic. Seems like a great project for the weekend; an excuse to "visit" by phone with folks we don't get too see too often. For your reference, below is a list of the races which MoveOn PAC considers "HOT".

For some added inspiration, below is a link to the first chapter of the campaign book that Senator Wellstone and Bill Dauster wrote as Senator Wellstone considered a possible 2000 Presidential campaign. Wellstone decided not to run for President in 1999, so the book went unpublished.
The book was to be called, "A Better America."
The Chapter's entitled, "The Good Country"
