Democrats call GOP offering 9/11 photos to donors 'a shameless fundraising ploy' [USA Today : Front Page]

Which they wish they had thought of first. Seriously though, this is politics, you get the money any way you can. I thought the Dems knew all about this.

For the record: I am not affiliated with any party at the moment.

Clare Booth Luce. "Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but, unlike charity, it should end there." [Quotes of the Day]
Grant Frazier. "Life is full of obstacle illusions."
Philip Adams. "It seems to me that people have vast potential. Most people can do extraordinary things if they have the confidence or take the risks. Yet most people don't. They sit in front of the telly and treat life as if it goes on forever."

Off the Reservation, Onto the Dealer's Lot. As enterprises like casino gambling have transformed the economic power of tribes, Indians have become respected, even feared, business rivals. By Danny Hakim. [New York Times: Business]

At issue: The Reservations are tax free entities, and local businesses feel threatened by that fact, they want a level playing field.

Comment: I think the government has done enough harm to the tribes of this nation, let's not be cruel and get the IRS on them.

Sony to Cut PlayStation 2 Price by $100. Sony plans to announce on Tuesday that it will cut the price of its popular PlayStation 2 game console in North America by a third. By Chris Gaither. [New York Times: Technology]

So the Playstation 2 will be a $199.99 console that can also play DVDs. Very nice. Given that 30 Million units have been moved at the $300.00 retail price, I think they've hit an economy of scale where they can drop the price of the units. This is good for them, and bad for MS, who's X box has sold nowhere near those numbers since it's launch, and are expecting to sell in the neighborhood of 4 million units by the end of June.

For the record: I have a PS one, a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, and various older systems as well (Atari 400, 2600, and 5200.) I am system agnostic, I just want fun games, they can be board games, card games, single player, multiplayer, on line, off line, phone line, I DON'T CARE!! I just like to play.
