I feel a story coming on...

Having to deal with side by side automated testing of our product has forced me to think about versioning and encapsulation in constructing test automation frameworks.  It is a more difficult issue for automation frameworks than it is for other types of applications because you have to consider the program your tests are testing as well as the automation framework itself.  Writing this up as a story will force me to clarify all these issues in my own head.

So here's a question: what would it take for a software product marketing team to advertise that fact that it was tested by its test team?  In other words, how could a test team add enough value to a product that it was one of the major reasons to buy that product (and that reason was so compelling and understandable that it would make a difference in sales if customers knew about it)?
