If you are hanging around this evening with nothing to do, there's a First Tuesday panel on at 6:30 in the Burlington on 'Combating Internet misuse - Reclaim your company's Internet profits'. As you might guess, I am not exactly taking this particular line; instead, I'll be voicing some concern about employee monitoring systems, potential privacy abuses by employers in the name of 'security', and the larger problem of the State retaining three years of employee net and email information (as per Ireland's proposed data retention bill).
