Coop's Place is a typical French Quarter Bar, with decent food and good jukebox music (Louis Prima is playing right now). But it has something extra: free wireless. I'm sitting at a table by the entrance eating a late lunch, and having an Abita Amber and marvelling that I have finally managed to find a hot spot that is worth visiting.
I'm adding it to my list of New Orleans Hot Spots (over on the link list on the left side of this blog). God, I love Wi-Fi.
PS - I just talked to the lady that runs the place and she said they've had the Wi-Fi for about a year (a Macintosh afficiando set it up for her). She said that since the article in the local paper came out (which I wrote about here) they've had a significant upturn in business. I love it.
