Today, Linda, Mom, Brian, Tyge, and I met up at Brown's Point Park to engage in detailed discussions and planning regarding the whole wedding flower thing. The Ski Boy was not with us - he's in Long Beach at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals annual Judicial Conference. As I type, he's hobnobbing with Chief Justice Roberts.

Yesterday, when Linda and I were figuring out when we should get together, she suggested that we might have a little picnic lunch. So, I translated that to mean, maybe, some cheese and crackers, a cookie or two, etc.

Well, was I wrong on that one!!!!! Linda put together the most fabulous champagne brunch catered by Sack's! We dined on crepes, omlettes, halibut tacos, and heuvos rancheros. All this brunching was done on Linda and Brian's little portable patio table and chairs. Wow!!!!! It was a total and complete surprise. Mom and I were completely bowled over!

I have the BEST friends in the world!

Oh. And the flowers. They are going to be amazing.

I think our wedding is going to be pretty darn wonderful. And the wonderfulness is due entirely to our incredibly talented friends and family.

The brunching group. The photographer, was of course, Brian. And you can see his usual shooting gear sitting on the empty chair.
