As I type at this very moment, my blog weather girl is displaying a lightning icon. This is just not possible. It's 48 degrees. Rain and snow (at higher elevations) are predicted for tonight.
There is no lightning in Alaska in October!!!!!!

I hate to say this, but the Twinkies, who were my AL World Series Anybody-but-the-Yankees pick, are pretty much down for the count.

Today is every Alaskan's favorite day of the year: Permanent Fund Payday. It's the day when our permanent fund dividend checks get auto-magically deposited into our bank accounts. This year's amount was $1,106.96. Not bad at all.
I wish I could say that mine is going to something extra special, but it's already been sucked up towards two yard maintenance bills of substantial size. Wheee...Wasn't that fun!
