I absentee voted on Thursday. The Alaska gubernatorial race is a tight race. I cast my vote for Tony. Sarah Palin - his main opponent is flippin' scary. She has no idea how to run a government, wants to teach creationism in the schools, etc. However, Alaska is such a red state that we're totally capable of electing an incompetent - just as long as they check the right-wing box. We do it on a regular basis.

I've just started quite the road trip: Seattle; Winfield, KS; and Chicago. As I type, I'm in Seattle where it is raining hard and evidently is going to be raining harder - a major storm is moving in.
Quite a difference from Anchorburg - it was in the single digits when I left this morning. A brilliant crisp clear morning. I am so glad it snowed last week. Snow makes all the difference on the cold weather front.
