It has been sort of cruddy week on the health front. Lots of stupid stuff that's beginning to accumulate:

  • I have a cold. I hate colds. I would rather have the flu than a cold. With a flu you get to stay in bed while you're miserable. With a cold, you just soldier on. One bright spot: this cold is making the rounds. Everyone who's come down with it has been very sick. I've just been low-medium sick. If this had been last year, I would have been bed-ridden for a week.
  • I woke up this morning with a stupid stiff neck and shoulder. It's the kind of stiff neck that is so painful that you can't turn to check your blindspot while driving. However, again, I've been lucky. When I woke up, I knew the pain could instantly develop into a very bad scene. So I staggered into the hot shower, let it beat on my neck and back for twenty minutes. I then immediately did my yoga routine. As a result, I am in pain but am functional. This is the first stiff neck that I've had since I started doing yoga almost two years ago. Because I've been sick for almost a week, I haven't done any yoga. I think the no-yoga stint put me in a ripe stiff neck position.
  • I have a mondo canker sore. This puppy started out as one smallish sore but it caused my lip to swell. Because my lip swelled, my teeth caught it in mid chew and I bit square into the canker sore. I was not happy. So the sore has now doubled in size and is really a big pain. I think I'm on the last day big pain. It should start to go down within the next day or two. I am very prone to canker sores but have come up with a very effective preventative routine. But I still get them occasionally.
  • My gut. My DISIDA test came back negative - my gall bladder is in great shape. But I am still having some issues. It makes eating almost impossible at times. Have to figure out what to do on this one.

So how's all of that for a whine fest?
