Oh, worms. I declared an eight-and-a-half day on my timesheet as JAG was not in tomorrow, but spent thirteen hours at work, tinkering with a script containing a subtle defect. When I say subtle, I mean hard-to-find but with an effect all out of proportion to its cause. I had to fend off personal calls, assuring friends that I was in the hotel, certainly not working, and no, that hum in the background was not the persistent whine emitted by the computer lab computers, and no, I managed to get home before the snow got bad (snow?), and yes, I had eaten. But I got the durned bug. I think.
Leave early tomorrow, I suppose. |
