Whoops! Quoted (somewhat disparagingly) by Happy Tutor at Wealth-B on St. Valentine’s Day and me too stuffed with grandmotherly pastillas to notice. My response is in hir comments.

This just goes to show how badly behind I am in reading everyone’s blogs. Sorry!

By the way, if you search for transcript trial Joseph Brodsky in Google, without quotes, I am 21st. Considerably higher is Frannie Longhair at Love Song for No One, who quoted my commonplace-book back in November! Sorry I never noticed! (“Random” Quotes? Huh.)

Which just goes to show how behind I am on updating the sidebar. Sorry everyone!

I need a real referrers-tracking system, one that doesn’t expire every day. Any suggestions, positive or negative, about any of them?

Why does WOGL keep playing the theme song of Soul Train when WCBS does not? The original song was titled “TSOP,” “The Sound of Philadelphia.”

A-ha.

Hostage to Crap:

How’s this for a tagline for the category?

Contributing to the cultural demise of civilization. Almost every day.

This, too, is late. It’s for Felicity. Hopefully she got all the chocolate she wanted on the V-day. I myself was gorging on a delivery of caribou milk from my grandmother.

Yes, I know it’s an old picture.

Mike points to this consideration of e-mail and privacy. I saw the original Metafilter posting, but after the first couple dozen “Is it?” “Isn’t it?” “It is!” “No it ain’t!” I forewent the rest, missing the economic discussions.

Caught the new TMNT cartoon this morning. It seems to hew much closer to the comic book than the first cartoon. Still with the pizza, though. Mike seems to be more manic, and Raphael does not seem to be a maniac. Raph asked Mike if he had an off switch. Huh. Leo hardly made an impression.
