Project JXTA is Sun's open source effort for the research and development of a network programming and computing platform for peer-to-peer computing (P2P). As developers, this is the project effort that we think has the right technical focus. It will be interesting to see if the market gets sidetracked by the .NET hype. [gtb]

Some of the largest consumer groups in the U.S. have expressed concerns that a Federal Communications Commission proposal to weaken regulations to create competition between high-speed ISPs may pose a threat to the Internet.
