Tomorrow's Light

So tomorrow we leave the Bluebonnets blooming. And the Mealy Blue Sage and the Prairie Verbena and the Wooly Stemodia.

Tomorrow we leave the flowering Silver Leaf Germander and the Spiderwort and the pink and red Salvia Gregii. And that last white blossom on the Pyracantha.

Tomorrow we leave the Ruelia, the Blue-eyed grass, the Four Nerve Daisies. And the last of the Irises.

Tomorrow we leave this place where the temperatures have been up and down and the skies have been blue and grey and the flowers have been happy.

Tomorrow we fly to Ohio and Michigan, where the temperatures will certainly be low while the temperatures here are supposed to climb.

And when we return, the boy will have decided his fate for the next four years, and the light at the end of the tunnel that I have been talking about for the last several years as he's been growing up will be blazingly bright.
