BMG Says: No More CDs 'No more music CDs without copy protection,' claims BMG unit. And there's nothing wrong with ours, it's the hardware people who're screwing up [The Register]
There's also coverage at Slashdot. This, of course, is bad news for everybody, including the record industry giants. This will probably require legal action on the part of Phillips to defend the Redbook Audio standard, and a class-action suit would be good, too. Of course, some favorable, forward-looking new laws would be nice, but that's too much to ask for, huh? 10:26:42 PM
