News Corp./Fox News Bias Made Plain

Fox Exec Wants Help Ending Piracy. News Corp. President Peter Chernin says stopping illegal duplication of content could spur a high-tech revival. By Paul Boutin. [Wired News]

Wow.  I can't believe the president of a major news outlet would publicly take this position.  Forget, for a moment, that he's got it completely backwards.  This sort of naked bias is why U.S. citizens can't trust the news they get from Fox News or any of News Corp.'s other television, cable, magazine, and newspaper properties.  You can be sure you won't get fair coverage of the issues surrounding any story about the balance between the rights of copyright holders and the customers they market to.

Instead, you'll get a curious silence on the issue, and any coverage will not only heavily favor corporate media giants, it'll fail to question any of the dubious assumptions the entertainment oligopoly wants you to swallow whole.
