Dog owners sometimes confuse pets with people MO A rant against dogs by a person who endured an unpleasant trip with Poopsie, a poodle-mix. [Columbia Daily Tribune] Personally I never confuse people with dogs. Dogs are much nicer, on the whole, than people. However, people who allow their dogs to incessantly bark at and climb all over other people are really annoying.

Yes, dogs watch TV ... but can they change the channels? TX  [Chicago Tribune Houston Chronicle] Related: Dogs can count

(Our dog is so smart, he's a television critic (or should be); if he sees any news that shows people crying, he will jump up and whine until we change the channel. He seems to empathize most with the real emotions of people on the news. And yes, he definitely watches TV; when he sees an unusual animal, he'll sit up and watch intently. He used to go up the screen and nose the TV to see if he could interact with the animal, but he soon figured out it wasn't real and stopped that behavior...) It's not controversial that dogs watch television. Television has gone to the dogs.

Chet Baker... famous jazz musician's dark side Canada  A profile of the famous musician provides insight into the personality of abandonment and betrayal:

"He was a nasty piece of business, who finked on everyone he'd ever got high with. In order to get a reduced sentence one time, he turned his own wife in to the cops. I mean, this is a guy who abandoned his dog in a parking lot in Chicago!" [Edmonton Journal] (I've always wondered what kind of person would abandon a dog (or any pet) in a parking lot...)
