Officials close 'Dan Ryan Woods' after more stray dogs sighted  IL 'An hour after they reopened, the Dan Ryan Woods on Chicago's Southwest Side were closed again Tuesday when a Chicago alderman insisted the public must be better prepared for encounters with stray dogs...' In January, a woman jogger was torn apart by vicious stray dogs on a jogging path; on the following day, another woman was seriously injured on another jogging path by marauding dogs. Aggressive dogs were sighted in the area as recently as last week, despite the park preserve's efforts to capture remaining dogs.
