Thanks to everyone who donated so far! So far, this year, Pets on Wheels in Montgomery County, Maryland, has extended its reach into 68 medical and day-care centers for seniors and disabled citizens.  Our County was hit hard by the sniper case this fall; many non-profits are stretched to breaking in Montgomery County...  Our dog (pictured here) visits dozens of friends almost every week...

'People can turn any dog bad', people blamed in fatal attack... CO In the aftermath of a fatal dog mauling by 3 pit bulls of a woman on Sunday,  many predict a public outcry of anger and revulsion against the breed. However, an experienced trainer cautions that people, not dogs, are more likely to blame for the dogs' viciousness:

'You can make anything violent or dangerous. I don't care if it's a (Yorkshire terrier) or a big wolf cross-breed, in the hands of an irresponsible owner - it's totally ridiculous...' Potentially aggressive breeds attract precisely the worst kind of owners: some people want mean dogs and will seek a pliable breed to manipulate: drug runners and illegal fighting rings target the pit bull, an intelligent and sensitive breed, because of its powerful jaws, its strength and its tenacity. On the other hand, some people purchase intimidating dogs, just for their cachet. Without training, affectionate leadership, and supervision these dogs may also end up aggressive: tied up in yards for hours, with unmet medical issues which destroy their temperments, or bored to aggression...
