Man desperately seeking  ... lost dog  AZ Would you quit your job, move 1400 miles, consult psychics, spend thousands of dollars and devote all your time looking for your lost pet dog?  Craig Hughes did and he's not going to give up looking until Shultz, his three-year-old Weimaraner, is found:   [Hughes] 'spends his days passing out fliers, visiting dog shelters and bothering anyone he thinks might help him find Shultz...'

'I've even done crazy stuff and gone up to Sedona and seen psychics I know it's grasping at straws... But it makes me feel better.' [Arizona Republic]

Opera has a new browser ready for beta testing... Beta-test Windows Opera 7.50, the underdog web browser. Opera incorporates inline reading of rss feeds and in the announcement, even links to Dave Winer's Harvard rss directory (The beta test is also available in Linux, FreeBSD):

* RSS Newsfeeds *
Opera now has experimental support for RSS Newsfeeds (RSS 0.9x, 1.0, and 2.0)--a syndication format often used on weblogs and news services--as part of Opera Mail. You can choose from a selection of pre-installed feeds by choosing "Newsfeeds" from the Mail menu. Newsfeeds are shown in the Mail panel under the Newfeeds access point. Please have a look at http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss/ for more information about RSS. [Opera Forums, betatesting] Since it's beta, upgrading from your stable version is not recommended... If you don't mind crashes and bugs, be adventurous, try the rss reader...
