Bill walked me through something called heart-math, or map. I need to ask him which. But as my skepticism subsided, it was as if I could use the neural paths developed around my heart, which may be physical - some research suggests it - to chill and stand back and look at all the anxiety ants swirling about my brain, and let them take shape, like little sculptures, and grasp more clearly, compassionately and distantly, what that anxiety is about. It reminds me so much of visualization in swimming, and channeling Sonny Terry when I played blues harmonica in college. Cool stuff.
