The primary dilemma in enlightenment, even self actualization, is integrating self. The trick is not to listen to a superego or id or ego or whatever duality, but to just be. I was talking to Bill about struggling for structure and achievement, and how I "should" be doing such and such, which he pointed out is just a set-up for duality, inauthenticity to self masquerading as accountability to self.

Allowing that struggle between parent and child to rule ensures that neither side relinquishes control. The integration of those halves is where being me comes into play, just as understanding the self as a universe, the way I feel when I know my breath so well that I no longer know my breath connects me with the universe.
