I wonder how much of the emergence of blogs or reality based television has to do with the idea of trying to form identity in a media-based world.

I wonder if the secret to telekinetics is not actually moving matter through space, but moving time and space - manipulating probability. Seems to me that if you can understand the mathematics and physics of probability to the point where you can simply make things happen because you winnow down the probability that might actually be easier, in terms of an exchange of energy, than actually moving and object through space in a given period of time. Just thinking about that makes my brain hurt.

When I got to the concert at the Pulitzer Foundation tonight, I was late, thinking the concert began at 8:00 rather than 7:30, primarily because they made such a big deal about the doors opening at 7pm and to be early to get a seat. Being late added to the transcendence of the affair. I couldn't tell from whence the music emanated, so I walked on tiptoes through the museum in the general direction. I think I understand the concept of musical phrasing now.
