It just dawned on me that one of the reasons Bush was so successful with the media during his 2000 presidential campaign is that he has some of that cool guy mojo going for him. He's the type of guy the journalist geeks secretly wished they could be friends with in high school, and as an affable, approachable candidate, he provided some of that for them. As I've said of John Kerry when I first heard him speak, he has the type of gravitas that would allow him to say as much as George W. Bush is a man who would be fun to hang out with, hunt with, drink with (if he still drank), you have to ask yourself the honest question of whether or not you want him running the country. 8:22:40 PM
