Pablo said one of the sweetest things today, in a moment where I wondered for a second if the universe wasn't just using him as a little voice of wisdom, as if I spent part of today wearing a special headset that allowed me to filter out any of the ruse of what we devise as our reality, and tap into the collective conciousness, if not directly, at least metaphorically, and through the voices of those in our daily interactions. I've actually been thanking him of late for giving me a fuller perspective on appreciating female beauty. I always found his peering learing, but he really does have an eye for things in women that count more than the beauty myth, like strong legs, good hips, a little back. After sometimes even making fun of him when he'd be checking out a non-traditionally, which I'm starting to understand more clearly as a trained, advertising shaped view (EVEN being more sensitized than most) beautiful woman, I started looking, and then appreciating more of what he saw. But he's still kind of lascivious, always playing, at least, at being a player. When I thanked him today, he said that his girlfriend had back. And then went to explain sweetly how they'd been friends for years, and started dating 5 months ago, and just went on picnics and stuff and had fun, and that he didn't even sleep with her until a week ago and that was great and the whole thing has been phenomenal with their focus on just expanding the relationship coming first. I just never would have expected the scenario coming from his mouth, the same man who sits at the end of the bar eyeing women, bragging about his pick up lines. I'm starting to see a little more art to his gruff quirk. I guess one of the things that might define when a relationship goes from hanging out to dating is when you decide to walk back to the car to get the cell phone, when you feel really lazy and tired and can't think of why you'd have any urgent want or need to talk to anyone on a Sunday, at least before Loki got a walk, and you realize that, yes, it would be good to bring the phone inside. 1:26:13 AM
