I finished my latest column for ACM <interactions> this afternoon, just before kickoff. It's about measuring usability; if you have an opinion on the subject, you might want to contact Jeff Sauro, the guest editor for the September/October 2006 edition, to discuss your contribution.

Let's see if I have this straight: A political-appointee public-affairs officer at NASA says that NASA should be teaching religion, not science, and he still has a job?
Meanwhile, Time magazine has a cover story asking "Is America flunking science?" If the answer is yes, is there any question why?
