Of all the new books in the pile next to my desk that I've promised to read[~]and review for you[~]but haven't even made a list of here yet, the one that I'm actually reading right now is Scott Berkun's brand new The Myths of Innovation. Of all the descriptions of innovation, and declarations about innovation, and proclamations and promises about innovation that I've seen recently, this one really nails it. What Scott says about the reality of innovation, how it happens, how it works, how you can encourage it, makes so much sense and feels so right I want to burn everything else I've read about it.

Check out Guy Kawasaki's interview for a taste of what you'll find in the book:

Ten Questions with Scott Berkun, Author of "The Myths of Innovation". . . In his most recent book he explores (or, more accurately, [base "]explodes[per thou]) the romantic notions of how innovation occurs. Join me in this Q and A session as he explains the real world of innovation. [How to Change the World]

Good stuff, compactly packaged, recommended.
