The new baseball stadium in downtown Greensboro will be named for a bank I've never heard of, First Horizon. BizJournal scooped everyone on the story.

VC Tim Oren has more thoughts on blogs and the long tail.

Venture capitalists make me nervous. I guess as long as they don't talk about "monetizing eyeballs" it's OK.

And can we come up with a better name than "citizen's media"?

Just did a quick phone interview with Amy Joyner from the News & Record -- she's doing a piece on Greensboro101...which also came up in this afternoon's discussion on public radio.

Jeff Thigpen blogs his first day as Guilford County Register of Deeds. He says he wants good communication with employees. The blog should help.

Do you have a weblog and live in the greater Greensboro area? Would like your site to be included in a table of contents for local blogs, a portal that shows visitors when each participating blog posts new content?

This is the place.

To get on it you need to make sure your site is telling the world it's there by publishing a syndication feed. Radio does it automatically. In Blogger, you just click to Settings and then to "Site Feed" and turn it on. If you use Type Pad, you probably know how to syndicate.

Once you've got that lined up, tell Greensboro101 you wanna play.

I'll be on WUNC's State of Things today at noon. 91.5 on your FM dial, streamed and archived here. Political roundtable, with Munger and Laura Leslie.

From the ridiculous to the sublime: when he's done with us, host Frank Stasio will interview Ani DiFranco.
