Another aggregator for Greensboro weblogs: GSO Live

How does it compare to Greensboro101 for look, feel, usability?

What would you change about either site? What would you keep?

Monkeytime makes up for the NC media's grievous undercoverage of women's roller derby. And in case you were worried, he addresses "concerns about the feminist implications of a sexy, aggressive all-girl sport."

Monkey: "(T)he Carolina Rollergirls are serious about doing roller derby right. They seem intent on avoiding stupid punching matches in favor of actually playing the game, which appears to set them apart from many of the other all-girl teams springing up around the country in recent years. Go Carolina."

Exciting times over at Backwards City, as the first edition of the literary journal goes to print.

Dan Gillmor is quitting the San Jose Mercury News to work on a grassroots blog media project. Venture funded. He's the guy who wrote the book on this stuff...

Am I being shortsighted? Should I be out raising money? Or is what's going on in Greensboro working under its own logic?

In any case, best of luck to Dan, he's not just a visionary he's a nice guy, too.
