"What Americans read" continues today: Location: Bluff Valley Campground's All You can Eat Pancake Breakfast. The wife of some guy with a jacket that said, "Union Organizer" was reading 3,2,1... Married! by Sharon Sala, Marie Ferrarella & Beverly Barton. Bluff Valley Campground is my Boss' weekend trailer park where the people all own golf carts and satellite dishes. The main activity is tooting around in golf carts and visiting the other trailers for drinks. We parked our car in front of our tent and moved a picnic table in such a way that we wouldn't be run over in the night by a drunken golf cart driver. The kids loved the place because the trailers resembled play houses and because they found the last merry-go-round in Minnesota. They had never seen one before. A skull knocking, tooth-chipping machine of polished iron and worn yellow paint, the kids played on it until they hurt themselves, and then couldn't resist going back for more. I remember playing on these in the 70's before the National Trial Lawyers Guild took over America. This one had a sharp little grease teat right at eye level for a pre-schooler.
