Article by Malcom Gladwell in New Yorker on reading people's minds by watching their involuntary facial muscles. It may be a way to aquire super powers through careful study. One thing about The Batman vs almost any other superhero is that The Batman trained himself to be a superhero where as the other ones got theirs bestowed on them with little effort on their part.

I took a quick look at the first two chapters of the training manual and holy fuck is it a lot of work, but just think how intense it would be if people's faces started sending you secret messages. And you could send secret messages to their subconscious with your face.
