Howard Dean Leads in Northern Arizona University Poll Poll: Dean Ahead in Arizona. The latest poll out of Arizona, an important February 3rd primary state, shows that the grassroots work have put Howard Dean in the lead: Dean 22 Clark 12 Lieberman 9 Kerry 8 Gephardt 7 Braun 2 Kucinich 1 Edwards 0 Sharpton 0 Undecided 39 The poll was conducted by the Social Research Laboratory of Northern Arizona University from November 14 through December 9. Congratulations are in order for the energetic Arizona grassroots, as well as to everyone who participated in the Southwest Voter Express, especially Latinos for Dean and Generation Dean -- they traveled last weekend from surrounding states to canvass and spread the word in Arizona and New Mexico.
