Roger Simon has a good post up on the investigation, or lack thereof, into the U.N. Oil for Food program that seems to have been corrupted. It is strange that no one out there hasn't made more of this. For all appearances, it would seem that lots of people including many at the U.N. covered up the fact that lots of the money in the Oil for Food program was going directly to Saddam or to the people he bribed. Given the fact that by going to war without the U.N.'s blessing, we have made the U.N. irrelevant, you'd think that someone would be really chasing this story just to perform the coup de grâce.

Alas, no one seems to be doing that.

In regards to the doomsday environmental link listed below, Will Collier rounds up the rebuttals, which basically goes along with my analysis below. The story and links over at Tim Blair's page are especially damning. Wonder when we'll see a retraction from The Filibuster and the Observer.
