Liz et friends had a girls night out tonight. That meant that I needed to find somewhere to hang out. Frank seemed as good a candidate as anyone.
Went for food at Fran's - I'm always good for a slab of dead animal flesh. Mmm.... animal flesh!
A tasty treat indeed!
Mostly we discussed the bizarre ritual known as dating.
Hey girls (if there actually are any out there that read this blog which I seriously doubt) - Frank is receptive neurotic single guy looking for love. You can find a picture of the dude here. :-)
Went back to Frank's. I was annoyed again today (as always) so I ended up fixing his RSS feed to be valid and fixed his weblogs.com ping.
Not bad for an hour of quick hackery in PHP.
He tried to get me to use HomeSite. Man. I remember paying for the shareware version of that thing when it was version 1.5a or whatever it was before Allaire bought it. Before ColdFusion bought Allaire. Before Macromedia bought ColdFusion.
Weird.
I revolted and did what I always do. I installed Cygwin and gvim onto his unsuspecting computer.
Today was interesting for other things too. I may have some work in January! yay! Two new developments today. We'll see if they yield anything. One looks easy - the other looks a little more long term. We'll see how things go.
I'm also thinking of officially forking the GSXML library from GNUstep. It's not that the 'real' GSXML is awful - but I think I want to take it into a new direction. I don't really want the hassle of merging with the trunk and having to argue about changing a published API.
Time to look at opening an account on Sourceforge.
