Much of Mike Leavitt's legacy during his short tenure as EPA administrator is laid out in very actionable terms in his 500 day plan.  The milestones of the first 200 days reveal what was most important on that list and demonstrate some concrete achievements.  Information Week expects Leavitt to really push technology within the public health sector.

The Navajo Nation is now equipping their officers with laptops and wireless services.  We have a meeting planned with Utah officials in early January.

MIT's open source curriculum is now available in Chinese.  Other institutions, including Utah State University and Johns Hopkins, are also providing material.

Brent Sanderson of Utah's Division of Finance reports that Dynamic ODS has saved the State $5 million.

It looks like Utah needs to do a better job at securing e-rate funds.  The audit calls for more statewide cooperation.
