 An announcement today says that Walmart is selling their "Balance" laptops preloaded with Linux. You can order one on the Walmart website for $498. The specs say that you can do a one-click download of 1,900 software titles. According to a thread on webservertalk, there are some problems with this machine and Walmart commited to buying a million of them. Might want to look into it before buying.
I guess 2004 was the year of the blog. Time magazine lists "10 things we learned about blogs" right below its 2004 person of the year.
