Live traffic images and real-time travel information will soon be just a click away in Utah County. UDOT, DPS, Mountainland Association of Governments and other CommuterLink partners have joined forces to bring the same traffic management tools currently used in the Salt Lake Valley to Utah County.
Ten new traffic cameras and two electronic highway signs will allow transportation and safety personnel to better observe the roadways, dispatch emergency services, and make adjustments to help traffic flow more smoothly.
The system's live camera images and speed indicators will be available to the public and media via the CommuterLink Web site at CommuterLink.utah.gov. The new components will greatly increase the media's ability to relate real-time travel information to listeners and viewers.
