Nikon has released Nikon View 6.01. While there are some new features, it seems they have taken out support for serial connections, and removed some other things. From MacNN.

PhotoFixLens helps overcome lens distortion. HumanSoftware has released this new plugin to fix barrel distortion, and it costs $39.95. Thanks to MacCentral.

These kinds of tools (LensDoc is another) turn out to be essential for some digital cameras because barrel distortion can make building panoramas a nightmare.
