So you've probably heard about the Apple music service announcements today (thanks NY Times)... and related to that, there is a new version of QuickTime (6.2) available. The changes in 6.2 include: * Foundation support for iTunes 4 * Enhanced AAC audio encoder (QuickTime Pro only) The AAC codec is said to provide higher quality sound than MP3 (presumably at the same file size). 11:44:10 AM

In my HDR for Panoramas section, there is a mention of Photomatix, HDR software for Windows. Robert C. Fisher tells me that a beta version of Photomatix for Mac OS X is available, and sent this sample showing how it increased dynamic range for his images (click on thumbnail for full 2000x1500 pixel image): 6:30:01 AM
