The lead for the story is "Brief: Apple's latest security update for OS X patches 17 flaws, ranging from vulnerabilities within the Apache Web server to Quicktime problems"
and it turns out if you read the article, the security update fixes a problem with the QuickTime media server. If you only read the brief, you might think there was a global problem with QuickTime that affected 90 million people, rather than the smaller set of people with QuickTime Server installations.

During the week of the Solstice (which falls on December 21 for most parts of the world) photographers everywhere are invited to participate in another World Wide Panorama event. The theme for this event is Sanctuary.
