Bibble 4.5 released: "Bibble Labs has updated its RAW workflow software, Bibble, to v4.5. New features include support for the Nikon D200 (including tethered operation) and 'dramatic' improvements to color from Canon .CR2 files. Bibble 4.5 is available in Pro and Lite versions for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux."

Adobe Lightroom Beta: "Macworld 2006: Adobe has today announced a new application aimed squarely at the digital photographer. Lightroom is a workflow and editting application which takes all of the useful photography related stuff from Photoshop and combines this with a sophisticated importation, browsing and organizational front-end. Lightroom is clearly aimed at taking on Apple Aperture as well as a few other high end workflow tools. At the moment Lightroom is available as a Mac OS X only Beta for anyone to try."

Fine Tuning Saturation in Photoshop: "Color can make for images with added impact. Anyone who has ever shot Velvia knows that. In the digital age, the tempting thing to do is to set your camera for increased saturation, but there are better options. Too much of a good thing is not necessarily better, and you can gain a great deal more control by fine tuning things in Photoshop than by letting your camera do it. Here are a few good ways to do so...."
