This story would have been more perfectly ironic if it came out the day that Nikon announced they were discontinuing most of their film cameras. Who needs film when you can make any digital camera image look like a film-based shot?--Editor

Autodesk Announces Cleaner 6.5: “Autodesk announced Cleaner 6.5 for Macintosh on Wednesday. The desktop media mastering and encoding software has been updated with DivX 6.0 encoding, a new Kinoma 3 exporter, H.264 formatting, Real 10 support, a Flix exporter, and more. Currently, Autodesk’s web site has not been updated with information about the new version of Cleaner. Cleaner 6.5 should be shipping this winter, and will be priced at US$599, with upgrades starting at $125
